　The light of the sun and moon shines upon all creations.

　We humbly pray, looking up and hoping for your observation. We, your subjects, take refuge and respectfully practice repentance. Bowing our heads before the imperial spirits, looking up to the deities with devoted hearts. On this day, we perform this for

　[Name], since the beginningless time, and throughout this life, acting upon a single deluded thought, the six senses became entangled. Indulging in the three karmic actions without realization, the ten evil deeds accumulated. If we do not repent and confess, how can we hope for your gracious forgiveness? the thousand true beings and ten thousand sages, the awe-inspiring divine spirits. May great blessings be bestowed upon all, and compassionate light shine universally. May romantic entanglements be resolved, and ominous energies be removed. The Dao says:　If ordinary people wish to pray for　liberation from the fate and limits of passing years,　the yearly afflictions and clashes, the year

　disasters and monthly adversities, the nine calamities and eight hardships,　the six harms and five sufferings, the seven injuries and ten entanglements, if

　there be the blade and chopping block,　if clashing with life, if the void, sword's edge,　if the Salt Pool and Heavenly Dog, if

　Peach Blossom and Broom Star,　if the Year Breaker and Mourning Gate,　the God of Death and Hanging Guest, the Mourning Chariot and White Horse,

　　and all such adversities and hardships,　one must engrave it in the heart to offer a jiao sacrifice and give thanks,　be humble and repent of transgressions, and re-establish

　mysterious merit,　so that disasters and sins are eliminated,　and blessings of peace are bestowed.　Whereupon the efficacious incantation is spoken:

　At the year, month, day, and hour of Yin, there is... adversity.　General Jiayin resolves and eliminates it.

　Mao year, month, day, and hour have.. misfortune　General Yi Mao resolves and eliminates

　Chen year, month, day, and hour have.. misfortune　General Jia Chen resolves and eliminates

　Si year, month, day, and hour have.. misfortune　General Yi Si resolves and eliminates

　Wu year, month, day, and hour have.. misfortune　General Jia Wu resolves and eliminates

　Wei year, month, day, and hour have.. misfortune　General Yi Wei resolves and eliminates

　Spiritual gods above, spiritual gods below, benevolent people of the world, do not think of the unrighteous

　Do not covet the unrighteous, cut the five-colored threads of passion, cut off past evils

　and karmic ties, awaken from now on, each go forward to your future, do not look back, the

　past nightmares are not destiny, I obey

the decree of the Most High, General of Severing Paths, swiftly as the law commands

　binding Jin Zha for you, but always releasing Jin Zha for you, Om, strong among the strong,

　auspicious among the auspicious, upon the Bodhi tree, resides Shili. .. Seal the spirit. ..

　transitional periods, the divisions of the sexagenary cycle, the Lonely Star and the Widower Star, clashes of the passing years, Calamity Sha

　and the Death God, Heavenly Snares and Earthly Nets, the Peach Blossom and Red Glamour of separate corners, the Six Harms

　and Seven Injuries, separations of Earth and Wood directions, karmic retributions and grievances, may all be liberated, actions and concealments

　be peaceful and safe, fortunes and limits opened and clear, forever relying on the shade of the Dao
