Yangchun County: Building-Selection Class for the Sword-Named Five Ghosts Transporting Wealth

In the forty-first year of Kangxi, the Ren-Wu year, Jia-Chen month, Ji-Hai day, Bing-Yin hour, second quarter of the hour—Yangchun County: building a Gen house with Chou added; Jia dragon, Bing water, exiting toward Geng-Xin; Ding peak and Wu sand; all three qi of Jia, Bing, and Geng obtained. Jia dragon is Giant Gate, the mountain range like a screen; behind the screen the sand issues left, curving to wrap the house tightly in front at the Ding position—this is a wealth-pushing sand.

Corresponding to April 28, 1642, 3:00 on the Gregorian calendar, this is an auspicious Five Ghosts Transporting Wealth chart, forming a configuration from Five Ghosts, Five Wealths, Five Sons, and Five Emoluments, further taking the interpenetration of Three, Seven, Six, and Eight. After this chart was used, the great-grandmother going to visit relatives dug up three to four thousand taels of silver halfway; again visiting relatives the great-grandmother saw a camellia that could serve as a staff, dug and got another eighteen hundred taels; and while that great-grandmother and the grandmother were watching a maid plant trees in the tea garden, they dug up another nine hundred taels; the great-aunt and the senior nephew’s wife hoeing the earth got four hundred fifty taels of silver; the eldest aunt and the second branch’s nephew’s wife dug a stone and got a package of silver totaling two hundred ounces. Across six or seven generations in all, they obtained seven thousand taels of silver.
