Attire of the Divine General
Zhang Jue, the Swift Messenger of the Divine Lord of Heavenly Joy, the Six Heavens Thunder, wears a
green face, an eagle's beak, a通天冠 (Tongtian Crown), a red robe, fleshy wings, feet like eagle claws, resembling the appearance of Lord Deng, holding a thunder axe in hand, without a dragon.
Application of Profound Utility
First, concentrate the spirit and stabilize the breath. The left hand forms the Jade Seal, the right hand forms the Sha Seal. Visualize the fire of the heart blazing, burning the withered wood of one's own body into smoke and ash, leaving a single point of extreme brightness resembling crystal in the center. In a trance, blown by the wind of Xun, one transforms into the Body of the Divine Emperor of Shengxiao. Then, step the Dipper, recite the Golden Light Mantra to summon the general.
The Jade Emperor has issued an edict, Hai. Performing the Dharma, all true ones. Zi. Above the Nine Heavens. Chou. Five-colored auspicious clouds. Yin. Golden light intertwines. Mao. Illuminating heaven and earth. Chen. Evil spirits are extinguished. Si. Controlling all spirits. Wu. The Xun gate is broken swiftly, Dui arrives at Chen to eliminate.轰 (Boom) destroys the demons. Si. The Three Realms obey the order, Wu. The Nine Offices are informed. Kun. Yuan Heng Zhen Di, swiftly manifest the true form. Jade Decree. Urgently as the Supreme Jade Emperor's original descending law and order.
Sixteen-Character Secret Mantra
Om Li Hong Om Li Hong Li Hong Om Om Li Om Om Li Hong Hong.
Visualize the Golden Light Mantra filling everything. In the Heavenly Gate, there is a Qian trigram. A Dipper of the Southern Dipper flies south, splits open, transforms into a Kun trigram, and the messenger emerges from the two trigrams, passing through the Xun gate. The master of rituals inhales him to the front, then proceeds with the action.
Qian for dryness, Dui for demons, Kun for people, Li for clear weather, Xun for wind, Zhen for thunder, Gen for clouds, Kan for rain.
For praying for rain, add the character 'Hong' to the Thunder character, lower the trigram, and again lower the Nine Provinces Dipper, and add the Five Directions Barbarian Thunder titles. For praying for clear weather, add the character 'Fire', add the Three Pure Ones' taboo names, and the Nine Provinces Dipper. Treating demons is the same.

The Department observes that since a certain month in a certain place, the sky has been excessively dry, fields are cracked like turtle shells, crops are scorched and withered, and people are sorrowful and sighing. Therefore, this edict requests the Divine General to manifest great divine power, limited from a certain day and hour of this month onwards, to ensure dark clouds gather from all directions and sudden rains pour down. May the harvest be abundant, and the people happy. Upon receipt of this edict, execute it urgently, and immediately await clear retribution. It is necessary to issue this edict.

The Department observes that since a certain month, yin and yang have been cloudy, long rains have been continuous, travelers find it difficult to come and go, and poor people often lack food. Moreover, at the time of autumn harvest, facing such long阴 (yin/darkness), it is deeply inconvenient. Although drought and flood have their respective domains, the Divine General holds the thunder commands, and making clear or rainy weather all comes from the command. Therefore, this edict requests the Divine General, from a certain day of this month onwards, to ensure the sky has no floating clouds, the four elements are bright and clear, the red sun opens its eyes, and sunlight shines down. Upon receipt of this edict, execute it urgently, and immediately await clear retribution. It is necessary to issue this edict.

Zhang Jue, the Swift Messenger of the Six-E Thunder, swiftly收回 (retrieve) the rain's feet, sweep away the dark clouds. May the hundred grains be completed, and the people's sorrow be resolved. Promote the Daoist Dharma, do not betray the covenant. Thus the edict.

Sitting in Meditation
First, clarify the mind and stabilize thoughts,握固 (clench fists), look with both eyes at the Central Palace, where a point of true light shines brightly. Move the character [mouth] Xie with the mouth, rotate the earth axis, wipe the heavenly gate, and stop at the Jiang Palace. Visualize a star below the sixth star of the Southern Dipper, from which the messenger flies. I make the sound of the character [mouth] Xie to combine with it, mixing into a golden sphere, which is inhaled into the Central Palace. Then swallow the water of the Hua Chi and swallow it down. After a short while, imagine the whole body becoming hot, then open the eyes. If one does not forget it, the retribution will come naturally. Praying for rain and snow, praying for clear weather, and eliminating demons are all the same. But for praying for snow, use green paper and pink ink.

Thunder Nine Palaces Clockwise and Counter-Clockwise Bureau
This is the direction of the Thunder each day. Whenever performing rituals, first take the retribution from the direction where one resides each day, and raise wind, clouds, rain, thunder, and lightning, which is wonderful and indescribable. If Thunder enters the Central Palace, do not perform actions, as on this day the Divine General's crown faces the origin. Those performing rituals must know this.
Profane Secret Method
The Great White Metal Star enters Zi Wei, Kan and Li combine to form the infant. The five directions' strict colors all return to one, when exhaled, ten thousand mechanisms are revealed. The Thunder Mantra has no punctuation, the Thunder Talisman has no scattered form. Thunder has no two-way secret method, the Thunder Qi is one spirit.

Concentrate the spirit and stabilize the breath, let no thought arise. Then face both kidneys with both eyes, slightly think of water and fire rising and descending, meeting at the Huang Ting. Then look up at the vast sky with the 75-character mantra, see the true form of the Thunder Commander's attire, inhale into the Lower Dantian. As before, in stillness, recite the sixteen-character mantra to move out, write the talisman to match the qi, the general enters the talisman.

Nine-Character Wind and Rain Edict
First use the messenger's talisman at the upper altar, then the nine-character edict, write the deadline for retribution on the side. Burn half at the place first, burn half at the time, the Daoist congregation recites the Mulang Mantra.

The self's Xuan Ming Palace forms the infant, tongue pressing the upper palate. Imagine a golden bridge, visualize the Zhang Messenger, leading the seeker's body, passing through the Chong Lou, crossing the golden bridge upwards, to the front of the Jade Emperor's hall. Imagine the Emperor sitting in the Golden Palace hall, the seeker bows three times, kneels on the ground, silently reports the intended action. After reporting, as if receiving an edict, the Supreme Emperor personally gives this character, seeing golden light shining brightly, directly entering the seeker's left palm. After receiving the character, the seeker and the messenger return from the Yuan Road to the original body, as if waking from a dream. Then use this character in the messenger's talisman on the edict character. If the service has not responded, use the previous method. But entering the Jade Hall, go up one level, there is the Yu Qing Supreme Emperor, again follow the previous method to report. After receiving the edict, there is no title, only four golden characters: Zi Huang Shang Dao. The seeker brings it back, uses the sword seal to write it on the door of the temple, to await its retribution. Using the cover method, same as this section, edict locks the temple door, head and tail as before, but the left foot up edict down golden bell, the seeker and the messenger put the cover down from half the sky.
Touching the Law
Whenever treating great demons, praying, or possessing children does not respond, use the Five Thunders to touch the law. Use a piece of tile, write the messenger's talisman on it, other titles are written stacked below. After the action of Qin Ji, go to the altar, incense, candles, and tile talisman in the middle, five cups of wine, five edicts, messenger's talisman. Then on the five directions' talismans, the Thunder character, use the five directions' respective local Barbarian Thunder titles into the talisman. Use a five-colored paper chicken, summon to each direction one by one, take the blood wine to dissolve the paper in each direction, after the blessing is finished. Discussing generation and restraint, hit the wine tile in each direction, stimulate the thunder to rise. For example, on a water day, first hit the south up, then hit the west, according to the restraint method. The master of rituals steps back to control it.
On ordinary days, visualize and refine the previous Zi Huang Shang Dao, the messenger's attire and form. The messenger is the grandson of Zhuan Di, the son of Zhi Ming, with red hair and blue body, green face and three eyes, Tianding Crown, pointed beak like Lord Deng's shape, golden armor and red robe, leopard skin pants, three claws, left hand holding the Thunder Box, right hand holding the Jade Axe. The messenger of the Southern Mountain Zixu Yuan Jun, formerly Shouchen met the Fire Master and received his transmission, then ordered him to follow our actions. Among the four characters, there is a secret character, the Ancestor's taboo name, called Zi Huang Shang Dao. Those who know it and cultivate it can communicate with the true and serve the spirits, commanding the Thunder Gods, which cannot be fully described. Those who cultivate the true, keep it secret, keep it secret.
