(The officiant holds the tablet, bows to Heaven, and visualizes through the Heavenly Eye) Tai Guang, Shuang Ling, and You Jing are gathered (pinch Yin), Peng Ju cannot leave my body, gather (pinch Si, Wu, Wei, Shen), Tai Shang San Tian Xu Wu Zi Ran gathers (once each). I wash my body with the sun (pinch Mao), Refine my form with the moon (pinch You), True Person protects me (pinch Wu), Jade Maiden assists my form (Zi), Twenty-Eight Constellations (from Chen reverse to Si), Follow me to serve the wheel, a thousand evils and ten thousand filths, expelled by Qi and purified, swiftly, swiftly, as the law commands. 2. Its body is like a golden bell, and it walks like a colorful phoenix. Its crow shakes heaven and earth, echoing and crowing, startling all within ten thousand miles. Under the window of Emperor Song, it crowed high at the sun. In the Hangu Pass, it reported the dawn at the fifth watch. It was formed by holding the creation of heaven and earth, and its nature was nurtured by metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. Borrowing your righteousness, we sacrifice to our generals. Everything is cut off, and we take the blood wine to offer to the Thunder God. With both wings flying, the shed feathers ascend to the Purple Palace. Banners block out the sun, and their strength can move mountains and uproot trees; swords and blades gleam like frost, and their aura can overturn the earth and flip the sky. When capturing monsters, they eliminate all traces; when executing evil demons, they destroy their nests. The Thunder Gods are just, and the Heavenly Generals are selfless. Drinking the jade nectar fully, their faces show the color of peach blossoms. Greatly manifesting their responses, together they forge a name as firm as metal and stone. Thunder Gods, listen attentively to my words. We must read the books of sages and enforce the laws of heaven. To bring life to the common people through spiritual prosperity, grace and duties are divided within the Thunder Bureau. I do not know if they have merits, but who among men can be without faults? I summon and command you, to my left and to my right. As brothers, as arms and legs, as heart and soul, as sworn friends. The mountains shall not move, and the seas shall not dry up. Enduring as long as heaven and earth, shining as bright as the sun and moon. The wind and rain before our eyes are released and gathered at will. The thunder in the palm of the hand is breathed out and in. Flying and soaring, playing music, subduing demon spirits. One thought, one visualization, ten thousand spirits respond ten thousand times. Words spoken are done, and the spirits are excused. Now I offer this blood wine as an oath to you: The first drop swears to Heaven, aligning with the heart of Heaven above. If I betray the generals, my Daoist magic will lose its power. I am now utterly sincere, and you shall manifest your response. Our two minds support each other, swearing an alliance for all lifetimes. I now act, and you must swiftly obey, promoting good and eliminating harm, with merits recorded in the Heavenly Court. Officers and generals, drink the wine and depart without delay. Eastern Barbarian Thunder drinks the blood wine, Southern Barbarian Thunder drinks the blood wine, Western Barbarian Thunder drinks the blood wine, Northern Barbarian Thunder drinks the blood wine, Central Barbarian Thunder drinks the blood wine. The main countenance of the Jade Saint, with majestic and brilliant spirit. Essence and spirit bright and fierce, vast and mighty heroic glory. Four Emperors and Five Emperors, solemnly generated bodies. Protecting today's darkness again, the bright moon shines for ten thousand years like a shuttle. A thousand transformations and ten thousand changes, vast divine powers, True Man and Son of Heaven, reaching the Dragon King, from whence they originally came. Washing the Face Respectfully, first emerging from heaven and earth, broadly creating the precious form of compassion. Together we meet the prosperous era, to revive the compassionate spirit of our Sage. Kind thoughts to all heavens, sharing blessings and honoring the sage's transformation. The two realms are built, the six directions are bright again. Saving the faithful people, expelling the eight disasters, auspicious stars shining high, sharing the Dao with sincerity. Specially for the disciple, opening the spiritual light of the wondrous form, shining upon the layered splendor. Therefore, the sun is sorrowful and the moon dim; the sun and moon are often windy and cannot turn. At this time, golden light shines upon the eyes, and the twin compassionate sun and moon illuminate heaven and earth. Assisting the country and pacifying the state for peace, the thousand-year Fortune Lord's incense is spiritual for ten thousand years. The original face is still there., today newly adorned with colorful radiance. Decree Brush Respectfully considering, in the morning judging the realm, in the evening transmitting human ethics. The divine brush is spiritual, opening and bestowing bright light. The divine brush is black, opening and bestowing ears and eyes. The divine brush is azure, opening and bestowing divine light. This brush is no ordinary brush, the Patriarchal Master passed down three brushes: The first was passed to Confucius, teaching three thousand disciples and seventy-two sages. The second brush was passed to Shakyamuni, to relieve suffering, rescue from hardship, and save living souls. The third brush was passed to the Patriarchal Heavenly Master, to subdue demons, protect the Dao, and aid the people of the world. This brush consists of a few hairs, yet when it touches paper it is like a golden blade. Firstly, it writes longevity and wealth; secondly, it writes a hall filled with gold, jade, and fortune; thirdly, it writes prosperity for the family and wealth. This brush is no ordinary brush, passed down by the Patriarchal Master to bestow divine light, writing talismans to aid emergencies and spread across the world. The Patriarchal Heavenly Master passes the brush to the disciple, I now take the brush to open and bestow divine light. Dotting the Eyes and Lighting the Lamps, silently reciting Respectfully considering, the golden light swiftly appears, as if personally descending. The lamp is before the Ancestor, who dares to ignite the fire. The disciple lights the Samadhi True Fire, illuminating the revered deity to emit radiant light. This fire is no ordinary fire, passed down by the Patriarchal Master as the Samadhi True Fire. Only the lamp fire shows no partiality, illuminating the rich and poor with equal fairness. Respectfully considering, the golden Lamp comes to illuminate the eyes, the full moon is like a parasol, the Great General channels the five wheels and eight trigrams, his light shining upon the four seas. The Nine Provinces are renewed, observing the Heavenly Gate again. Looking straight and horizontally, the face rises from the earth. The tiger roars on the high mountain, ten thousand fathoms deep, auspicious energy soaring for ten thousand myriad years. Performing the Decree of the Lamp, writing the names of the Three Pure Ones and the Five Emperors of the Five Directions, then setting up the Golden Light Formation, silently reciting: Heaven and Earth's profound origin, the root of all Qi, widely cultivating through myriad eons, realizing my divine powers. Within and without the Three Realms, only the Dao is supreme, the body possesses golden light, (pinching the Si sign) covering and reflecting upon my body. Looked for but cannot be seen, listened for but cannot be heard, encompassing Heaven and Earth, nurturing all living beings. Reciting the scripture ten thousand times, the body possesses bright light, (pinching the Wei sign) the Three Realms stand guard, the Five Emperors welcome. All gods pay homage, commanding the thunder, ghosts and demons lose their courage, spirits and monsters lose their forms. Within is the thunderbolt, the hidden name of the Thunder God, piercing and interpenetrating, the Five Qi soaring. Golden light swiftly appears, covering and protecting the True Person. Performing the closing of the Big Dipper to protect the Dao, reciting the "Precious Admonition of the Heavenly Master", silently reciting: Three steps and nine traces, the Big Dipper and Earthly principles, I gather the stellar Dipper, may the Dipper's煞 (sha) swiftly rise. Heaven is spiritual, Earth is spiritual, gods are spiritual generals, generals are spiritual. Human and divine unite, naturally becoming true, commanding all gods to return to my heart. Swallowing saliva down the heart, pinching while reciting By the merit of the consecration just performed, may the officials and generals swiftly transmit it. Bestowing blessings and peace, all rely on this merit to realize the supreme Dao, all faithful bow, as the supreme good cause, sincerely reciting, Heavenly Venerable of the Three Pure Ones and Three Realms, Heavenly Venerable of All Saints Halting Their Chariots, Heavenly Venerable of Ascending the High Treasure Throne. The Dao is boundless, with inconceivable merit.
