Hidden God and Syzygy

For the month, take the palace it occupies as the Hidden God; the opposite is the Syzygy. For example, after the Autumnal Equinox, in the eleventh month the Moon occupies the lodge of longevity-star — if it is in Chen, use the Chen hour as the Hidden God and the Xu hour as the Syzygy.

There is also a formula:

Hidden God and Syzygy hold the true mechanism;
explained to present masters, they always doubt.
This is where the Five Phases are truly vigorous;
all celestial stars and earthly luminaries return.
Jia and Geng — Yin and Shen, Ju Men sovereign.
Yi and Xin — Chou and Wei, Lu Cun arrives.
Bing and Ren — Zi and Wu, Greedy Wolf position.
Ding and Gui — Si and Hai, inquire of Integrity.
Wu — Chen and Xu, holds Martial Qu.
Ji — Mao and You, Literary Star.
Jia-Zi Greedy Wolf, Jia-Xu Gate.
Jia-Shen Lu Cun, Jia-Wu Literary.
Jia-Chen Integrity, Jia-Yin Martial.
Within the six Jia decades seek the day-spirit;
all enter the center palace and fly the nine roads.
Only seek that the five positions receive auspicious stars;
if Purple and White arrive, it is fully auspicious —
one must make them mutually generating, not invading by conquest.
