Two Cases of Safe Driving and Preserved Life
Too much time has passed; the year is hard to pin down—roughly seven or eight years ago. Jotting this down in passing.
One Spring Festival, a female believer obtained a travel-safety talisman before the holiday. While driving on the highway during the festival, she could not react in time to turn and drove off the road.
At extreme speed the car flew out, hit the ground, and rolled seven or eight times; the vehicle was completely deformed and wrecked. The driver then crawled out of the car.
She suffered nothing else—only a minor scrape on her arm. Everyone was greatly shocked, saying such a crash must mean certain death, and how could this be.
All the above was her own report.
Is this not the protection of the spirits? What the divine generals guard will always turn disaster into fortune; and it was also because this believer was sincere and faithful that she obtained such an outcome.
She said that when the car rolled, she knew the talisman was in the vehicle and that she herself would certainly be fine, so she simply let it roll until it finished, then got out.
Another case was a man, also on the highway, who met an accident while driving—brakes too late—then struck three cars in succession and left the road. Several cars were wrecked, yet the people were unharmed.
Whenever holidays arrive and the highways are full of misfortune, one must be careful.
Hence thereafter, whenever someone obtained a talisman of this kind, I always stressed that traffic rules must be followed, and that on highways during festivals one must drive slowly to preserve the whole. To rely on the spirits and act wantonly would betray the original intention.
In the years that followed, the vast majority of believers were fine. There were one or two incidents in between, also within the range one might expect by chance; in all of them no one was seriously hurt. The particulars were similar and need not be repeated.
