Those Born in the Year of the Snake — Die? — A Brief Discussion of the Feng Shui of the White House in the United States

There is a version online of the Chinese zodiac signs of US presidents, but unfortunately it assigns the signs by the Chinese lunar calendar; in fact one should calculate by the sexagenary stems-and-branches. The most typical case is Abraham Lincoln, born 12 February 1809 — that year Chinese New Year fell on 14 February, yet the solar term had already changed on 4 February. By the stem-branch calendar, he is undoubtedly a Snake.

This list already tallies the Chinese zodiac signs of US presidents by their birth years. Those marked with * are presidents who encountered assassination attempts; their signs cluster in the Yin, Shen, Si, and Hai positions.

The White House of the United States is set, on satellite imagery, clearly according to true north. But because the magnetic declination there is about minus 9 degrees, a correction must be made. The bluish part is the actual roadway, and the white outline is the protruding shape. Clearly the flat-land sand formations above form the common knife shape; the truly operative influence lies on the Si line.

Coincidentally, virtually all presidents born in Snake years — except those of the Harrison family — have encountered assassination attempts. The only one who did not perish was Franklin Roosevelt; obviously this relates to the disability he already had from polio earlier. However, while serving as president, he died of a sudden cerebral hemorrhage.

Although the Harrison-family presidents never encountered assassination, America's ninth president, William Harrison, caught a cold on inauguration day due to terrible weather; three weeks later the illness struck, and less than a month afterward he died suddenly.

The only one to remain safe was William Harrison's grandson — America's twenty-third president, Benjamin Harrison — who also later served as US president. Though born in the same Snake year, he never encountered an assassination attempt.

His extreme caution very likely played a large role: he and his wife, even while at home, did not dare touch the light switches for fear of electric shock.

At the same time he was also very skilled at balance, during his term virtually offending no faction — and of course thereby became one of the least outstanding of America's presidents.

Snake years are also very unfriendly to America: either GDP growth plunges, or the inflation rate spikes. Even historically, there have been four economic crises in Snake years — even the 911 terrorist attacks fell in a Snake year.

Speaking of the economy, in Rat years the American economy also readily encounters problems — such as the three market halts of 2020, and the 2008 US subprime financial crisis, and so forth.
